Multivisual adventures at the meeting of fashion and visual culture

A virtual fashion show from USE, a young Hungarian trio of designers. The event started with a video clip of their autumn/winter collection. These designers are inspired by Hungarian folk art: a mixture of traditional folk apparel and the use of motifs mixed with contemporary fashion. The video was made by Fatima Kazár and János Hunyadi, both young video makers.

USE - Eszter Füzes, Attila Godena-Juhász and András Tóth graduated from the Clothing Design department of MIE (University of Art and Design) in 2004. Their philosphy is to mix classic cults with modern design. They produce limited editions exclusively, which are sold currently in Budapest and Helsinki. They are working on expanding to the UK, Germany and USA.

the Room magazine was founded in 2004 by 10 people from the fashion industry - Ali Tóth and Anikó Virág (stylists), Márton Perlaki (fashion photographer), Eszter Füzes, Attila Godena-Juhász and András Tóth (stylists) (USE), Zoltán Lonovics (graphic designer), Ádám Szabó (haridresser), Bernadett Titkos (master), and Balázs Gábor (photographer). It is a "bookzine" in English and Hungarian, published semi-annually. It aspires to present fashion as a form of fine art with high-level values, amid to promote Hungarian designers to the world.

At the evening there were on display large prints (poster size) as well as  copies of the latest edition for sale in limited numbers.
